We do online mentoring and telehealth.

Hello Everyone!
It's been a long while since I wrote an NDS Neurodynamics update. I do hope everyone is as well as can be expected and hoping for quick return to a semblance of normality.
Being in Adelaide, South Australia, I've been home since March, so I've concentrated on academia in which we've published some new research - sciatic and median nerve dynamics in relation to muscles.
1. Coronavirus
COVID19 his has changed everything and NDS is in hibernation until we recommence in-person courses, probably after April 2021.
It has been a good opportunity to refocus and change for the better. I've done a lot of online presentations for conferences and summits and these filled up like lightening and grew our Instagram site. If you want to see us there, do follow.

2. Vaccine
90 year-old Woman Receives First Coronavirus Vaccine
Congratulations to the UK for starting a vaccine so soon! I saw that the first person to receive one was a 90 year-old woman.
Australia has decided to be careful as they found that one vaccine started to produce false positives for HIV. We will likely have one in April and priority will be given to the needy - elderly and predisposed - then health professionals, so I hope to be eligible soon and be back teaching by mid-late 2021.
3. Science Update
Research on nerve and muscle movement - we have published some of our experimental work on nerve and muscle movement to establish if the 'Differentiation Movements' we do during neurodynamic testing are valid mechanically:
- ankle dorsiflexion for the straight leg raise
- neck lateral flexion for the upper limb neurodynamic test, median nerve.
Here's the article: Muscles and Nerves: Are We Really Caught Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea?

4. Clinical Update - The Bendy Sloppy Ulnar Nerve (see article).
The ulnar nerve can get really painful so I've written a nice summary of the diagnosis and physical treatment possibilities:
- neural mobilisations - unloading to loading in progressions
- stretches for the muscles along the brachial plexus up to the neck: upper trapezius and levator scapular with ulnar
- neurodynamic movements.
Teamwork for neurodynamics and muscles (scroll to article) - importance of motor control in conjunction with neurodynamics: muscles and nerves all move together so why not treat them together.
--
Happy Neurodynamics everyone and do let us know if you need anything.
